Sadly, yes. My own MS1i looks just as crappy as that. You can blame Grado's combination "hand-crafting" process and their [apparently] poor quality control system for that. They still sound good though.

This is simultaneously one of the most ridiculous and the best mods I've seen. Test your theory, though - see how many days of continuous play (or days of heavy use) it can take before the battery dies.

Don't quote me on any of this since it's going off my poor memory: The 125i includes updated drivers, comfies instead of bowls, and (I think) a better cable. It may also have a larger ear cup (but that's probably just the MS1i).

You'll need much more than an E3 to make the K702 sound good. And the D2000 and SR225i are basically going in completely different directions. Would you rather have (oversimplifying here) a more treble-heavy headphone (SR225) or a more bass-heavy headphone (D2000)?
