Modding the Sennheiser pc350 headset
Did this mod to the Game Zero as it uses the isolated design. Started with four 1/8th inch holes, probably should've kept it to 3 as with the 350. They still need to burn in though, took my 350's some time before they were at full potential. Just wanted to let you guys know it's possible, and...- Metalcastr

PC 360 vs 350 and burn-in
New motherboard: MSI Z77-GD65 gaming Old one: Biostar P55 CFX-SLI The difference isn't massive, but it was noticeable going from old board to new. So hopefully they're making integrated sound better. Also haven't used a sound card in years due to minimal perceptible difference. I have an...- Metalcastr

PC 360 vs 350 and burn-in
Yes, the 350 is well broken in, and the 360 new. Yeah, I was thinking about a sound card, but my integrated sound is noticeably better than my last board, so I wasn't sure it would make much difference. If anyone else wants to chime in, feel free.- Metalcastr

PC 360 vs 350 and burn-in
Hello. I own a Hero's modded PC350, and a PC360. In a direct comparison the 360 midrange and low end sound more hollow compared to the 350. I was wondering if this is due to impedance (50 ohms for the 360, and 150 for the 350) or perhaps burn-in, as my 350's have over 1000 hours on them. This is...- Metalcastr

Modding the Sennheiser pc350 headset
I could not get the PXC450 earpads to fit my PC350 with the default rings no matter what, and they kept falling off. The old rings snapped right into place. I changed pads about 2 years ago, so perhaps they changed designs recently.- Metalcastr

Modding the Sennheiser pc350 headset
Has anyone attempted Hero's mod with the PC 360? I can't find any pictures of the inside. Edit: apparently they are open designs, as you can see the drivers and there is no black plastic cover as in the 350's. I was hoping to do the mod on my 360's as the midrange sounds muddy, and on the 350's...- Metalcastr

Combine two soundcard outputs with switch?
I now have two audio outputs in my computer, Claro+ and Realtek. I would like to be able to switch between them using Device Manager without switching my 3.5mm cable back and forth. Looking at the products available on the net, I found a 3.5mm stereo female to 2 3.5mm stereo male adapter, with...- Metalcastr

Sound card for gaming and music
Hello. My onboard sound is terrible, so I am looking for a sound card for both gaming and music. I use headphones, and have read many different recommendations by searching "sound card" in this forum. Comp is running Win7 x64 and the card doesn't need advanced features. The budget is about...- Metalcastr

People who dont 'hear' and dont care...
I used to be one of these people. I only changed when I bought my Ur-40's and let them burn in over time. They started out worse than my desktop speakers, now they're better, and that's when I became a believer.- Metalcastr

Modding the Sennheiser pc350 headset
I just did this mod, and boy am I impressed! They sound much much better now. I drilled 3 1/8th holes in each, and so far I'm liking it. EDIT: watch out for the rubber stoppers, they will fall out. Just remember to put them in before you close up, they fit one way.- Metalcastr

Senn PC350 not performing as expected
Thank you for replying! I am now torn between modding, returning, or getting a better soundcard. I do want good sound, but I am afraid to mess up modding, as that would be a lot of money down the drain. Maybe I will get a clip-on mic for my ur-40. If anyone has some bonus insight I would...- Metalcastr

Senn PC350 not performing as expected
Hello. I am new to these forums and appreciate being part of a new community. I've recently purchased a Sennheiser PC350 as a gaming/music headset and it is not performing to my expectations from what I've read from review sites (not going to trust those anymore, they say everything is great...- Metalcastr
