Ortofon e-Q5 Impressions Thread
Quote: Yeah I changed my post they said they would replace it if it were broken and within warranty, but they wouldn't have any means of a repair or test which leads me to believe they couldn't care less about any issues their headphones might have, just because their factories are in...- nucgaek

Ortofon e-Q5 Impressions Thread
Contacted Ortofon and they said they couldn't do anything even if it was under warranty as their factories are in Japan... Or maybe it's their nice way of saying "go away it's out of warranty"? Either way, I guess recabling is the only option short of repurchasing but it seems there...- nucgaek

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread
Quote: That's pretty much it, except i went in for them using some pliers and scraped some of the clear plastic off. The thing is, pretty much everything in Australia is overpriced (minimum wage and all) so it'd be much much more worth it to just swap it for someone else's who wants a...- nucgaek

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread
Quote: I got a pin stuck in the "two holes in which the cable pins fit", failed to pull it out with pliers while scraping some of the plastic and gave up, so there's pretty much 0 chance anything important was messed up- nucgaek

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread
Not sure if there's a better place to post this, but is anyone looking to reshell their TF10s but not in a rush? I have a right earpiece which has a messed up termination but the drivers are fine, and I was hoping to swap it + cash for a working right earpiece. Already went to the FS/FT section...- nucgaek

Something something GR07 2013... I think it's just an update to the GR07, no news on the GR08.- nucgaek

So am I really the only one here who thought the GR06 sounded better than the 04/02?- nucgaek

Definitely similar to the Westone or UE (TF10/custom) cable. Pretty excited, though I may have to wait for reviews if the price is too high- nucgaek

Scratching on Headphone Jack
Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I think something similar is happening to mine. My headphone plug has a small scratch (like a scar on the gold plating between the two black rings) on my Atrio MG7s. The audio seems mostly fine but when I turn the plug around inside the source, at a...- nucgaek

IEM with the most bass. Superfi 10vi's not getting the job done.
Atrios for good bass quality and quantity... but I didn't find the TF10s lacking- nucgaek

Future Sonics Atrio MG7 Review and Appreciation thread
Received mine earlier this week from a seller on head-fi, tried a bit of burn in but is it me or are the mids recessed? Even moreso than the TF10s.- nucgaek

Atrio MG7 broken - any other good bassy recommendations ~£140
Have you tried the TF10s? Other than that and maybe the GR07, there doesn't seem to be much that competes with the MG7 in terms of Bass quality?- nucgaek

600 AUD seems about right, it was around 400+ for the TF10s last time I checked... Don't expect the price to remain at 400, probably 300ish within a few weeks- nucgaek

Ultra-portable Amps
I was just wondering what ultra-portable amps were available? The only ones I've seen so far are the Digizoid ZO2 and the iBasso T3, other like the T5 are similar in size but muc heavier, so is there anything else worth considering in the $60-150 range? Some specs: Digizoid ZO2.3...- nucgaek
