Schiit Lyr Tube Rollers
I have a question. Recently when I turn on Schiit Lyr with my tubes ('75 Holy Grails' - 1975 Reflektor 6n23p SWPG Silver Shield), I hear a very loud noise in my headphones (from one side -right cup). After I turn Lyr off and back on - the noise is gone and everything is alright. However I had a...- korzena

New WESTONE W-SERIES
Thanks for the clarification. I've deleted my previous comments as they didn't refer to the cable in question. Good to know Westone makes a great bluetooth cable too. I might give it a try myself:-) Thanks for your review and comments.- korzena

New WESTONE W-SERIES
Sorry, I think I referred to another cable (MFI G2 cable) which was included in Westone W30 as an extra (phone) cable. If this is the case please disregard my comment. Once confirmed, I will delete my previous post.- korzena

New WESTONE W-SERIES
Good news:) Westone honored my warranty and sent me a new cable. I am impressed with their service. On this occasion I would like to share a few impressions from comparing the replacement FiiO-RC-WT2 cable I've used with my W30 in the recent 3 months to the original Westone epic cable. ...- korzena

New WESTONE W-SERIES
The store told me (on the phone so they haven't seen the cable) that it will be considered as a physical damage so the warranty does not apply. Fortunately a person from Westone contacted me and offered help. Hopefully I will get the replacement. I'll report back.- korzena

New WESTONE W-SERIES
Update: I've been contacted by a person in charge from Westone. Hopefully my cable issue be resolved. I was positively surprised to get this message from Westone offering help as well as enquiring about the nature of the problem. It's a sign that they care and want to listen to their...- korzena

New WESTONE W-SERIES
I've got FiiO-RC-WT2-Replacement Cable which is half the price of Westone's, but it's not as comfortable (especially it's a bit stiff) and the sound of my W30 loses some subtleties with it.- korzena

New WESTONE W-SERIES
I will try to do it and will see if it will get replaced. If so, it would keep up my hope and maybe I'll stay with Westone. My other models (2 pairs of W3) didn't have detachable cables, but I don't care so much about them now as long as I have my lastest W30 fixed. Soon I will report back if...- korzena

New WESTONE W-SERIES
This is crazy! Another model? Westone should first fix its cable problem! Their cables as much as I love them for their comfort +no microphonics, they unfortunately do not last long. I had already 3 pairs of Westones W-series and each one broke (first pair after 2 years, second after a year...- korzena

Audeze LCD-X
I don't think that a best headphone in the world would have to go beyond $2000 price mark. Possibly anything over $2000 or even $1500 is a marketing crap and relying on people's snobbishness. Unfortunately most high-end headphone companies take a full advantage of our weakness. p.s. I'm...- korzena

Audeze LCD-X
Thanks for your responses. I personally had this problem (fazor touching my ear) when I auditioned LCD-X in a store a year ago. I haven't tried the extended poles as my head is not big and I didn't have this problem with LCD-2.2 which I own and with LCD-3 which I...- korzena

Audeze LCD-X
The old LCD-X model had a problem for some people because the fazor could touch the ear and it caused quite an unpleasant or even painful experience (even after a short time of wearing the headphone). Has the new version of LCD-X fixed this problem?- korzena

Electronic music fans - Headphones discussion thread
Many people say they got used to their weight. I did to my LCD-2. Maybe I have developed an extra neck muscle thanks to them:) Anyway, it would be nice if they were lighter, but I still find them quite comfortable. I suppose it's individual. I auditioned LCD-X and LCD-3 side by side and...- korzena

New WESTONE W-SERIES
Westone surprised me when they launched as many as six new models of W-series only! This is crazy! For me the choice was relatively easy as I just replaced W3 with new W30 (luckily one of the 'good' models of the new W-series). However I am sorry for people who are new to Westone earphones...- korzena

New WESTONE W-SERIES
Westone does seem to have a problem with their cables. I had to replace my previous two pairs of W3 because of the cable problem (cutting in and out). Now I've just bought W30 and from the very beginning I could hear (although very very rarely) some subtle noise which sounds a bit like static...- korzena

FLC Technology FLC8 and FLC8s Impressions Thread
The noise from the wind is an important issue. Thanks for mentioning it. Westone 3 is very good in terms of isolation and microphonics. It's served me perfectly while biking. The only thing is the cable issue (broke inside). This is my second pair of W3 I had to throw away because of the...- korzena

Thanks for the info regarding the microphonics. As for the recommendation, I don't think alpha-delta-d2m will be an upgrade to my Westone 3 which was 10x pricier;-)- korzena
