Audio-GD NFB-15.32 Delivery & Impression Thread
Yes, shipping 2kg to China is the limiting factor. I also voided the warranty when I opened the unit, but I had to check inside as my whole room started smelling like corroding metal. I got a Fiio E10K as a replacement, and it works just fine to power my DT 990 Pro, plus I really...- cidiano

Audio-GD NFB-15.32 Delivery & Impression Thread
My NFB 15.32 was running pretty hot since I got it, and after less than two years of use I now have an unusable brick. Here is what the heat deformation looks like:- cidiano

Modi+Magni combo VS Audio-GD NFB-15.32 (please help)
I bought the Audio gd NFB-15.32 in November 2013. It worked great, but always produced more heat than I thought was normal. Finally on August 2015, the heat got to it and the unit is now damaged beyond repair (I have photos if anyone cares to see). It was rather cheap yes, but this is a product...- cidiano

Audio-GD NFB-15.32 Delivery & Impression Thread
I have received the 15.32 with the TCXO upgrade within 5 business days of ordering (shipped from Hong Kong to Texas). Setting up and installing USB drivers was no problem at all and everything works great (they have a very detailed guide in both text and video). One thing to note is that...- cidiano

NEW Vali Schiit AMP!!!
V Moda Faders or similar plugs (Etymotic makes them as well) do a great job at preserving your hearing. They simply reduce all incoming sound by about 12 dB, so it doesn't sound muffled but still protects your ears.- cidiano

HiFiman HE-500 (HE as in High End) Proving to be an enjoyable experience in listening.
I'm considering getting the HE-500 as my endgame headphone. I understand that Lyr+Bifrost are an excellent combo for these cans, but since I move continents very often I would need something much smaller to move around. Right now, my plan is to get Modi+Magni/Vali, but I just wanted to check...- cidiano

Need some help finding an all-round durable, open-back, detailed and bassy headphones that suit an extreme variety of music, preferrably under 1000$.
You might want to give the beyerdynamic DT 990 a listen. I haven't heard the Ultrasone, so I'm not sure how they compare... but you would know best once you listen to them. Other options worth considering might be the HifiMan HE 400. It's very popular at that price range and does well with a...- cidiano

need recommendation for in ear sport headphones
There's the OCX 685i, but it's slightly pricier since it comes with an iOS controller on the cable. I haven't tried the CX 680, but the general consensus is that the 685 series is a small step up. You can also find more recommendations here -...- cidiano

need recommendation for in ear sport headphones
Sennheiser CX 685 if you want isolation Sennheiser MX 685 if you need some situational awareness (outdoor running/biking) They should both be within your budget. Just make sure you get them from an authorized dealer as there are many fakes floating online. Avoid Ebay.- cidiano

Headphones to compliment the DT990 PRO
The DT990 are great V shape cans for movies, gaming and electronic music. For rock music (midrange, vocals, guitars), i was thinking a Grado SR 225i might be a nice extra headphone to have. Or do you think they would not make much of a difference? Any other recommendations for open...- cidiano
