Thanks in advance

I am with tkam. return it and get a good cable something not microphonic and super stiff and annoying

I more or less agree with that statement! The K701 sound surprisingly similar to a Zu'ed HD650.

I had a similar issue for a different reason. I just used some
scotch tape on the connector to make a snug fit.

I have since sold the cables and the scotch tape was not
an issue for the buyer as well

.

I do agree though that a new cable should not have this issue.
It kinda sucks to spend that kind of money and not have it fit
correctly.

Good luck

I'm frustrated too. Just got Senn. 650's with a custom 4' Black Dragon cable from Moon Audio. I had it an hour and though, I wonder what the stock cables sound like? I gently pulled the red conneting cable out of the cans and one of the pins pulled right off with it. So back they go to get reparied. Oh well, I guess stuff happens...Drew seems like a good guy but you hate to see stuff like this happen right out of the box with high end gear.

I just wrapped some black electrical tape around the connectors, it fits perfectly and doesn't look bad at all IMHO (actually matches the 650's pretty well).

Interestingly enough Bruce, I took the scotch tape off and it works perfectly ;D.

I triple this statement... though I preferred the HD650/Zu (single ended).

Mine fit perfectly when I had it. I'd send it back to Zu. They have good customer service.
