The resin spalted maples have been crazy this year. Tons of greats from the initial stabilized Caldera drop earlier in the year. Didn't realize my Atriums were spalted because they are a single color with no natural wood color at the spalt lines.

Had to look up what spalted means just now.
"The partial decay, called spalting, gives the wood dark contrasting lines and streaks where fungus has begun to attack the wood"
Cool idea to stabilize it.

This is my favorite time of the year for this hobby. It's when all the artsy sets drop. Bad for the wallet though
