Hey Zach, kindly check your mail, a relative wants to refurbish his ZMF with new parts and asked to reach out to you, sent you a request couple of days ago, he is calling daily asking if you have replied :)

OK so a couple updates:

Decware OTL is back in stock in both 120V and 230V.

iDAC 6 and IHA-6 are on closeout, we have 1 unit of the IHA-6 and 2 units of the iDAC-6 both in 120V. They are both $499. If someone wanted to grab both I could take an extra $100 off. Just email me for that special deal if anyone wants those.

I'm over at the finishing station right now - but will be doing email probably later tonight - I'll ask Bevin and our other support staff to check it out in the mean time so you might hear back before I get to email.

The atrium closed back did not come out exactly how I thought it would, but I understand the variations of the wood and color. They’re beautiful regardless. A picture for reference of the Paloma set, I’m sure lighting has a lot to do with that also but like I said, I’m extremely happy with both of them, I live very close to ZMF’s shop, so that could be dangerous.

How would you compare / contrast the two? Do you find yourself reaching for one or the other based on genre, your mood, time of day?

Well, I seem to like the airiness/Organic sound of the open back it’s got a nice separation to it and of course the closed backs are nice, especially if you got background noise they definitely do seem a little bit more concealed to me, I haven’t had a lot of time to go back-and-forth with them I will in the near future. I’m trying to finish up a home theater build at my house, I can chime back in when I have more info but they’re both beautiful and I will be keeping each one of them, this is actually my first closed back headphone. They both have some good slam to them also. to me the Atrium open have a wider soundstage, and better separation.

I reach for the closed back more, as I listen to a lot of edm and drum and bass. AC are PERFECT for that genre. Accurate with a lot of slam.
