what kind of headphone do we see here?

Ok, answered in the Bokeh Thread.
To many ZMF Threads around.
To those who can't find the thread, it appears to be a Bokeh Open prototype. Pretty wild! going to look crazy with LTD and stabilized wood.

i'm with you, it's my favorite wood. I jumped on one of the redwood burl ACs, then he does the purple ash which i've wanted since Tyler's VC years ago. now i have two ACs as i can't bring myself to sell the burl. now this. :frowning2:

If you're looking for someone to tell you not to buy a third AC you're probably in the wrong place 🤷‍♂️

You know I realized I never posted a pic here of the Redwood Atrium Closed I got. Will do it later.

Have barely used it since it came with channel Imbalance that I haven't had time in the past two weeks to try to fix myself (maybe cable, maybe dust got in driver or something) before say sending them back.

Have had these Eikons (Cadenza) for a few weeks now. Finally had some time for amateur hour photography.

Not going to lie those AC's on the marketplace have been tempting me hard so I can have a set...

***edit: now noticing how horrible my lighting is...
So you're the lucky one who scored them! Really one of my favorite looking ZMFs of all time. Congratulations!

Those are lovely, and the Eikon is a “criminally underrated (ignored?) headphone”, as I like to say.

Congratulations and thanks for sharing the photos!

Lurking on the classified here and hifizero @commtrd hifizero to my understanding post classified ads from various forums.

folks are audiophile enthusiast who are curious in dabbling in everything.

most common reasons. Purchased new LTD and breaking even, testing wood type, or A/B testing to figure like AC vs VC.

It is an expensive hobby.

The craziest one was an atrium for 1.3k, 1.1 and caldera 2.5 a week prior to zmf November .
Mainly due to not being able to demo headphones any other way to use with a person's own dac and amp at home. The only other way is a brief audition at say Can Jam, which is noisy, and not your own equipment, and very little time to listen to a headphone. So definitely not an ideal way to try to figure out if you like a headphone before committing $4k to purchase. This is a huge problem with all manufacturers headphones really. Have to buy it to try it. Then also buying a used ZMF there is no driver warranty, as it is not transferrable (as I understand, correct me if I am wrong). Finally, seems like most Calderas people are asking darn near new price for one. Might as well just buy a new one and have the warranty to go with it.

I would rather just wait until November for Dallas Can Jam to buy a stabilized Caldera. Rarely see the stabilized Calderas for sale in classified. I feel like I have a pretty good idea how Caldera sounds, the pads, via triangulation from many personal reviews on HF, so i am comfortable buying one without having auditioned it first. Not the optimal approach, but it is what it is.

Actually I believe if you get a driver replacement as a secondhand owner, you then get a lifetime warranty on the new driver(s). @zach915m is this correct?

Yeah if you pay for new drivers they are then warrentied. Just the rest of the headphone doesn't carry any aesthetic warranty.
