How heavy are your stabilised units?

Received mine this week (pics to follow) and really was suprised how heavy it is. Even with magnesium chasis its over 620g.

Not a dealbreaker by any means since with BBB strap its still super compfy but that was rather unexpected and sessions over 3h might become tiresome. Maybe another thing that should be included on the product pic / page.
My AC (veery soft wood) is 410g, it feels now weightless in comparesion ;D

So I'm late getting into this group, but my word this album via the Atriums......such thunderous bass/drums and powerful guitars. Absolutely love it!

I decided to weigh all of my ZMFs:

Redheart Caldera: 513g
Brown Mallee Burl AC: 632g (Zach did warn me about this being a particularly heavy/hard wood when I bought these at CanJam)
Apparition AO: 624g

Strangely enough, the AC feels significantly heavier despite only weighing 8g more.

Interesting, the weight took me by suprise, is it something about the Atrium Open construction (and probably the thickness and size of the grills?) that causes the weight, since its the heaviest ZMF I had around so far.

Atrium and some gentle Slayer thrash is great.

I really like the production on those early Slayer albums, they have that old school dynamic yet raw sound, and from what I've gathered the Atrium is perfect for reproducing that faithfully without being fatiguing. Can't wait for my pair to arrive.

I've posted my review of the Atrium. I've never tried a headphone that literally made me go to church....

Well done! Well said.

(I’m certain you’ve tried all pads by now. On the off chance, give the caldera ultra perf a spin)

Thank you!
They're a truly brilliant headphone. And I've got to say @zach915m did an incredible job on this pair.

As someone who grew up in Cornwall literally on the seafront, having a meerschaum/sea foam pair makes me very happy!

Great video. I'm sure all Atrium owners here will appreciate you validating our extravagant expenditures as much as I did :)

One comment though - there are in fact 4 mesh options (if you include meshless) as there are two types of vented mesh - the radial vented mesh which can be purchased from ZMF and the stock vented mesh.

If you choose to test out the radial vented mesh, please do let us know what you think in comparison to the other mesh options.

On another note, totally unrelated, yesterday I found myself really enjoying the verite pads on the atrium. I've been listening to the Thieaudio Prestige LTD a lot lately so my ears have gotten used to that sounds. The verite pads did a great job of adding intimacy to the sound. I know there are a few fans of the Vérité pads on the atriums here. I think I get it now.

I'm sure I'll go back to the Universe and Caldera Ultra Perf pads soon but yesterday's experience was a nice surprise.

Looks like I’m the only one who hasn’t bothered to change pads even once. Mine came with Auteur Perf as default since it is a used unit. Good Sub bass and mid bass out of both my amp.

What's the grill material? Something like copper may add some heavy feel compared to black aluminium.

I've held some Stabilize Atrium with various grill (except copper), and none of them as heavy as Atrium Cocobolo + Aged Copper Grill
