Yes, I have received recently the latest Z3 with de Muses02 opamp. I was happy they wetre available again. My Z3 with AK4490 is broken because a plnted thicker battery of 2650 mAh ruined my microSD-slot. The latest Z3 sounds very good. I can compare it with my Z3 with AK4493 and the Muses02. It has more voilume. I listen them with my Grado SR60, Sennheiser HD 25 II and Koss Porta Pro. I stick with the Z3 as model, because they are the only players I can simply modify with other opamps. There are probebly better sounding players to listen to, but not for the money. I had the Shanling M0 en M2x and I sold them because they do not sound better and with an microSD with 200 GB storage it takes ages to update the library. Also the fidly touchscreen handling is a disaster. Just give me buttons! With the Z3 there is no time lost, after adding 1 or 2 albums. I have the player for the music and not for a lovely screen. Perfect in that respect. It is a lovely basic player for corded headphones. I don't need streaming. I do not need Bluetooth. For my home stereo I have de Zishan MD1 with double AK4493. Next to them I also have two Zishans Z2. Also sounding wonderful. I am realy a Zishan-fan.
Thank You for your feedback. I still have my old zishan dsd ak4497, but unfortunately it doesn't work anymore. For some reason it doesn't output sound to my headphones. It was one of the best sounding players I've ever owned regardless of the price (with Burson V5I-D opamp). It would be great if Zishan would release a new DAP this year (Z6) with easy replaceable opamps again. 🥹

Final ( or not ;) ) Z3 CS43198 ModSM43198.jpg
How's the sound of this one compared to the stock CS43198?
Im planning to get the CS43197/Muses02 and planning to do the same mod as yours, but with Muses02 installed.
Also, does this one have power supply mod already?

Apologies for the questions. player()ru already closed so this is the only mod i was able to see. :) can't seem to find any available mod tutorials on other forums.

Thank you!
