ZiShan DSDs HiFi Player Thread

I have no idea all the problem are you talking about but to my ears the 4499 is amazing and the 4497 doesn't come even close
Single core DAC 4497 old versioersio is worse but new one with Dual 4497 is very close to single 4499 - this one have dual core DAC inside 1 chip.
My opinion is based only on posts from diffrent forums. On Russian biggest forum is a lot of measurement and study of sound quality and project design of all Zi models

I got my Zishan DSD AK4499 Nor version, and l used them for more than a week. In term of soud quality, it's amizing on its price. But I got a probem that the music albums/folders after 5th page did not show up the song list for all album. I have installed more than 80 album/folders on the micro SD card, but only 45 folders could show up the songs in the folders. Try to put the reset button or turn off the power switch, but problem still. Anyone have the same issue or can advise to solve the issue?

@JoZeR Yes you can connect 4499 and Dual 4497 by USB to PC but have terrible 1-2 seconds delay in sound. You can't wach YouTube or movies and forgot about play any games. I tried almost everything to shorter this delay but failed. Zishan DSDs have wonderfull sound but have some kind of buffer delay even playing songs from SD card. Can't play fluently file by file. I think is a hardware "issue".
Remember also about bad implementation of amplifier section in AK4499. 2,5mm need balanced amplifier and 3,5mm PO have trouble with sound polarization.
I bought Dual 4497 becouse good 2,5mm and 3,5 line out from factor. 3,5 headphone ou in 4499 and 4497 need modifications.

I am very happy about replacement to LT1364 in 3,5mm how about better replacement of OP275? AD8620 is in best version of DSDs. Is any better op amp who can work in this board design?

There's a community that really admired the sound of AD8066. Maybe you can try those as the LPF section.

Found this amp, has a 2.5mm balanced in and claims to be full balanced
For those looking of how to take advantage of the balanced out
Nice. Now the 2.5 balanced out of the 4499 is useful. But i don't really see a "trusty" reputation there. Is it safe?

Thank You!

Did someone measure balanced out 2,5mm of Dual AK4497? In 3,5 have 11,5Vpp and 400mw how about balanced?

Not sure how trusty it is, but I have bought off this seller and had no issues so far

Updates:
None so far.

NOTE:
If your DSDs is draining a lot of battery and exhibiting a lot of heat, you might want to turn off the "Turbo" DAC setting. That way, your DSDs will have an extended battery life and less heat.

P.S. I know the DSDs is kinda "cold" now, but due to requests and the fact that the DSDs is a different line up from the old DSD, so I decided to make it happen. And there you go, i hope this thread can be useful.

Stay healthy,
God bless
