I'm not sure if anyone else has come across this, but initially my pair were not sitting 100% in the mmcx connector, making it sound a bit hollow. If you come across the same, try pushing in and rotating the housing on the cable.

I actually sent back my first pair thinking they were defective. The second pair had the same hollow sound and it got me wondering... it was actually user error the whole time.

Reverb laden acoustic guitar music sounds fantastic. Rodrigo y Gabriela sounds like you're there in the arena.

As for fit and tips:
With the qt5, I used one of the supplied pairs, then set the earphone within my ear as if it was one of those micro-driver earphones, kind of resting on the bottom of the ear above the earlobe. That works for me in getting a good seal.

Before that  I tried a bunch of tips from my extensive collection and that was unsuccessful.

Are you guys running your QT5s with an amp? Mine currently sound really muffled during more complex songs, I think it's an impedance issue but I don't have an amp to check.

This is where the reseating of the connectors comes into play. Remove one of the housings, pop it back on, and give it a full circle twist. You'll hear the difference between the muffled side and clear side. I originally thought my first pair were defective with this issue, but reseating fixed it.

I checked both amped and unamped, and it didn't clear the muffled sound until I did that.

Thanks, that made a huge difference! Did you stop having this issue after switching to the fidue cable or do you still have to twist it?

I still had the issue even switching cables. Something about that full circle twist fixed it. Glad it helped you as well. I too was unimpressed with muffled sound before that, but as you can now hear, the sound is incredibly clear once twisted in.

Wheres the 4th BA? Or am I missing something? AE closed my order of the QT5 with my new mastercard after the shinanagins from previous mastercard getting hi jacked in AE with a bunch of unauthorized transactions. Have appealed the purchase by providing ID and pic of new master card and waiting for it to clear and proceed. Getting annoyed with AE tbh. pity the QT5 is only available there from what Ive Googled ..
