This is the headamp section?May I used opamp like LT1364 or LT1361 to replace it?
I replace LT1364 and LT1361 in the both side(headamp section)...but when I open the DAC a while,LT1364 become hot but LT1361 does't...should I continue?
but not warm only...it become hot...when I used browdog adapter combined LT1364 and LT1361 to swap on the DAC section, both of this also not warm?cold...
The heat is cause by the processing speed of the OP-amp. read Penchums review and op-amp rolling thread for this dac there is alot of information over there. The Hot 1364 is very normal for that OP-AMP the faster the chip the hotter it will get. I have been running mike like that for over two years with 1364 in the head amp. I even have my Tube amp on top of my zero and there are no heat issues. I do keep the room cooled even in the summer though.
Only use the LT1364's in the head amp and not the DAC slot. In the DAC socket the 1364 gets way too hot (will induce thermal shut down I'm willing to bet). A better OPA for the dac spot is the BB-OPA627A (or BP if you can find them, on a browndog adapter ) or an HDAM module. The Earth HDAM is really good as are the Burson HDAM's ...the A-gd HDAM's are 1/4 the cost of the Burson units. The other poster is correct ... Penchum's thread has tons of useful info although it is tough to get through due to the size of it.
