Thanks also for that info, I'll do the update. It's strange but I've had no problem with my clock after the last update from just a few?? weeks ago.

The problem is only occurred if the player is being turn off for a "long period" according to the Creative for the old firmware. So I guess your player did not turn off long enough.

That could be the case, mine remains off for up to 8 hours.
