I picked up a zen micro last week, and I'm definatley overall pleased with the product; creative puts together a nice little machine.
My only qualm with it is this high pitched 'whine' sort of noise, that I can hear pretty well when I am switching to a new song or loading a playlist, and most other operations where I am guessing the harddrive inside is spun. I could be wrong about this being a hard drive issue, but I should point out that it only happens for about 7-8 secs into any given song.
I found that I can hear this most clear on the stock headphones, and barely if at all, on my sony dj set
. If anyone could let me know whether or not this is something that is present in all zen micros it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
