Mullard ECC35 or CV569 seem to be quite rare and can be costly, but you only need one!

I keep coming back to a Sylvania, of all brands... It's a 6SL7-W JAN with US Navy markings on it. The inside is completely coated with silvery getter material. The other I like is the RCA 5691 with the Red Base, which isn't very expensive either. I have a Brimar I really like, but it was twice the cost of the others I listed.

Go with the Zana over the Woo. There aren't a bunch of big 'upgrades' because the amp is perfect as it comes. Just swap out the original Russian driver tube, and you're set.

So, I have a pair of HD800's and a pair of Grado PS1000's. What I don't have is a Zana Deux to drive them. I am waiting patiently.
