Yulong D100 Mk2 Question! USB vs Toslink

Just got my Yulong D100 Mk2 from Tam Audio... they ship fast!
 
I read that it only does 96khz on USB or 192khz on toslink - does that mean I'm better off to use toslink between the two?

Do you have 192kHz sources? If so, then definitely go the toslink way.
Otherwise try both interfaces and decide which one you prefer.
There have been many debates which is better and the opinions vary.

The 192kHz sampling is quite rare, in fact some of the best DACs I know of don't even support it. If you only use mp3 files, then in all likelyhood you don't have any of these in your collection, as they are the domain of losless formats.
If you have a toslink cable available, then by all means at least try it for the peace of mind. But using USB has its advantages too, so don't feel like you're underutilising your investment if you connect that way.
It's similar to displaying a 640x400 jpeg on a 1600x1200 screen: sure uyou can do it, but the quality still is dictated by the source....
