exactly, everyone generates these waves in the cycles of sleep..
I've been told that classical music stimulates the mind, thus making you smarter. This was by the same person that told me the music I listen to will rot my mind.
I once loaned a Cradle of Filth CD to a kid at the special needs school. He listened to it while doing his work in class, and did much better than normal. I ended up giving him the CD, and heard that his school work improved.
So much for the classical music theory.
Personally, I don't believe that listening to any special sounds can make you smarter. I do think that music may help some people to study more effectively.
