Lol yeah. Listening to The Division Bell now. It's my third favourite of Floyd's albums. The solo in Marooned is fantastic.

I'm suprised more people didn't choose The Wall... I find it far deeper than Dark Side, but then again, those are the only two I've listen to so far (working on it, don't worry

There's no arguing The Wall's highlights, but for me it just has too much filler. The 1st disc is great, but I always lose my focus in the Nazi stretch of the plot.

I'll say Dark Side, because it got me into music. Animals gets 2nd...I always thought that one was underrated for Floyd.

I think the Nazi part is the best part of the album.

Waiting for the Worms is a great track.

Oh, by the way, let's extend this to rating songs, too?

#1 Granchester Meadows (Ummagumma)
#2 Matilda Mother (Piper)
#3 Dogs (Animals)
#4 Shine On (WYWH)
#5 Hey You (Wall)
#6 Flaming (Piper)
#7 Careful with that Axe Eugene (Ummagumma)
#8 Green is the colour (More)
#9 Cymbaline (More)
#10 Atom Heart Mother (AHM)
#11 Burning Bridges (Obscured)
#12 Is there anybody out there? (Wall)
#13 Pigs (Animals)
#14 Time (DSOTM)
#15 Scarecrow (Piper)
#16 Echoes (Meddle)
#17 Wish you were here (WYWH)

I would say their most consistent albums are Piper and Obscured by Clouds, most polished is DSOTM, best songs on average are on Piper, most uneven is Ummagumma, most influential - I don't know or care, most overrated are the DSOTM and the Wall, most vapid is the Division Bell, most pompous is the Wall, and the sweetest & gentlest is More.

As for albums, it's too damn hard to choose one, so I take one from top three to make it first, just because NO ONE has chosen it yet:

Saucerful of Secrets: Apart from Corporal Clegg, this is so rock solid and wonderful, running smoothly from the beginning to the end. The B side is outrageosly good, but so is A.

Funny how I got into SoS through Corporal Clegg (it has so hippy tune) but after I got into the rest of SoS, Corporal Clegg lost its feel - it does not belong to the rest of the songs.

DSOTM is very good, but I've listened to it too much, I simply can't name it.

I'd say Meddle is the second, only because of two excellent tracks.
Third one? Let's say Animals.

Many here say they don't understand the post-Wall albums. Neither did I, until I happened to listen to the Momentary Lapse of Reason. And now I can't help loving it. The A side is amazing.

I just like to add that "Amused To Death" ranks right up there although it has Roger Waters on the top and not Pink Floyd. Probably 4th on my list.

Meddle is such a lovely album. It's a great chill out CD.

I'm starting to come around on Animals. I was listening to it at work earlier, and I think Dogs is wicked.
