Everything But The Girl - Like the Deserts Miss the Rain
Picked this one up after reading a rec right here on these boards. So far I like it (and it included a bonus disc... not bad for a 7.95 used CD pickup). Laid-back, easy to listen to, some tracks have elements of electro-lounge w/ vocals. Fits well with this sunny, breezy day we're having here in Cali. Wish I could sit back with a mixed drink and soak it in (but alas, my final final of all times beckons).

I think someone here stumbled across this album as well. It is a compilation album by some electronic composers such as hrvatski and stock, hausen, and walkmen who have taken Game Boy music and sounds and rearranged them with a program called nanoloop (amongst other additions). Interesting pickup for me, as I'm interested in video game music.

Nobukazu Takemura - Hoshi no Koe
This album reminds me somewhat of Carpet Music's album. It is synth/organ laden and most tracks are lighthearted and ethereal. I need to give it a more in-depth listen when I get a chance.

The Cinematic Orchestra - Everyday
Follow up to their much-liked album (by me) Motion, Everyday adds some female vocals to the dark and moody jazz stylings that the Cinematic Orchestra offered in their previous album. Need to let it soak in a bit, though I liked the mood of Motion more than this one so far.
