Just ordered this beauty. This is a very limited 24-hour version of Marsen Jules's 2013 album The Endless Change of Colour, delivered on a USB flash drive as a single 2GB 320kbps MP3 file. The first batch of these sold out yesterday in six hours, but the label is getting more next week and is still currently accepting orders.

Original album description:
In our, boxed, on-demand world where accessibility and recallability rule we can often forget the importance of the unpredictable or the joy of true discovery. Our lives are increasingly shaped by systems and patterns; downloaded, linked, and stored, that help us live, tell us when to go outside and what we will find when we get there. The mystery of our every day slowly seeps out of our lives like photograph bled of its color by the sun. There are fewer questions and too many answers.
The Endless Change Of Colour exists somewhere between our future and the mistakes and accidents we’ve made along the way. It is a celebration of both the system and the unexpected. Marsen Jules’ latest work is a generative music piece upon a single phrase of an old jazz record split into three audio streams. These streams are transformed into loops which break the original instrumentation down into sound resembling pure waves, harmonics and overtones. These loops play to different time signatures to create phasing patterns that continuously move and dance around each other in a constantly-evolving lattice of sound. Despite it being based on a very strict and limited set of rules the music could, in theory, be endless and ever-changing.
Here, the listener’s discovery is a quiet and engaged one. Ripples and pulses set within a field of color that sometimes feels like water, sometimes like air and sometimes like glass. Electronic tones hum with warmth and the softness of slumber. The patterns are there, familiar to our modern ears, but they’re not always what they seem. The wandering mind steers this one along more than the generative grid on which it was based and The Endless Change Of Colour becomes exactly as its title suggests.
24-hour version description:
24-hour version description:
"In 2013 I released my generative composition 'The Endless Change of Colour' through 12k. Many people said it might be one of my best albums so far. But the recording of a generative music piece can only show an excerpt of the richness that happens, when many different layers of loops and soundmanipulation are moving against each other. A generative composition can be living thing. Something that changes over hours and brings up new musical moments all the time. Usually when I create this kind of music I listen to the set up for hours to explore all details that happen in the setting. That´s the reason why I decided to release a special extralong version with a total playtime of 24 hours. This is at least the longest piece of continuous music which was released so far and maybe the longest album ever released. But it´s also a proof for the uniqueness of every moment in a piece of generative art." - Marsen Jules

Various artists - Clannad Original Soundtrack [3 CDs]
If I had to pick my all-time favorite thing in the world from all the music I've heard, movies and series I've watched, video games I've played and books I've read, it would unquestionably be the Clannad TV series. There is something truly magical about Clannad. Never in my life have I cried so much, and at the same time laughed so genuinely full of joy without any inhibitions. I've wanted to have the soundtrack for a looong time, but only recently comprehended that there is no separate soundtrack for the TV series because they used music from the original visual novel for it since it was already perfect (I have not played it, only a fan translation of Tomoyo After, which is a very mixed bag). I also recently discovered Tokyo Otaku Mode and ordered a 1/6th scale figure of Tomoyo from them (she's not one of my favorite character from the series, but that's the only Clannad-related item they had in stock). I'll possibly add a pic of it here once it arrives.

I've been listening to this album for days. It's amazing!
Surface Image is the new album-length composition for solo piano and 40-channel 1-bit electronics from composer Tristan Perich and pianist Vicky Chow.
Surface Image is a stunning marriage of Perich's inspired electronic aesthetic and Chow's nuanced yet fiercely virtuosic playing. It's a landmark release for Perich, being his first major release focusing solely on his work, as well as his first large-scale piano composition. Chow's dynamic performance is swept up in a sublime flurry of dazzling 1-bit sounds, simultaneously entangling and unraveling over the hour long journey. The line between electric and organic is artistically blurred, as the simple hand-wired electronics fuse with the individual notes of the piano on the same, expansive plane.
Through a string of groundbreaking works pairing acoustic instruments with hand-made 1-bit electronics, Tristan Perich has transformed the way in which traditional forms of composition can be enhanced and reinvigorated by the aesthetic simplicity of math, physics, and code. Perich's name splashed onto the scene with 2004's 1-Bit Music (the first album ever released as a self-contained microchip embedded in a jewel case) and since then his 1-bit compositions (like 2010's 1-Bit Symphony) have flourished: growing steadily in size, scope, and ambition.
Canadian pianist Vicky Chow has been described as "brilliant" (New York Times) and "one of the new stars of new music" (Los Angeles Times). She has premiered works by a slew of iconic composers - from Steve Reich to Bryce Dessner - and is a member of New York's preeminent Bang on a Can All-Stars. Chow also recently created an arrangement of The Rite of Spring for solo piano, of which she gave multiple performances during the centennial celebration, including a live streamed performance from WNYC's The Greene Space on May 29th, 2013 - the exact day the work was premiered in Paris 100 years earlier.
Surface Image premiered on February 19, 2013 at Roulette in Brooklyn, NY. During live performances, Chow's piano can be seen nested in a sea of cables and circuit boards, each powering one of the 40 loudspeakers hand-wired by Perich to serve as his electric orchestra. The immense work was later later recorded at EMPAC's sound studio, helmed by producer Argeo Ascani, mix engineer Jeffrey Svatek, and recording engineers Stephen McLaughlin and Svatek. The enormous scope and power of Surface Image's live aesthetic is captured in vivid detail by this recording, which places the listener at the center of Perich and Chow's sublime cacophony.

Hey guys,
My latest 5 albums are as follows,
1: Dubstep Allstars Vol. 2 - Various Artists, mixed by Youngsta
2: Musik Gewinnt Freunde Collection - Kollektiv Turmstrasse
3: Drum 'n' Bass for Papa - Plug
4: Substance LP - Various Artists, Ingredients Records mix
5: Leaders of the brew school - Betty ford boys
My brief thoughts on these albums,
1: Dark, deep and brooding, a true classic dubstep representation, far from the brostep and drumstep that is surfacing more and more.
2: An interesting and exciting find, Dark themes of Tech house and some experimental sounds.
3: Strange. Just strange, has some of the weirdest samples i've ever heard in drum and bass as well as a creepy theme running throughout the album.
4: Great mix of new drum and bass tracks, highly recommended for DNB lovers, almost all the tracks are absolute bangers.
5: Beats, vibes, chill. This album is now a staple with chilling with 'the crew', a great album to listen to in the background as vibes or to intently concentrate on.

The STP is called "Purple". Last month I was talking to a guy at a used record store and he let me have the same 45 saying it was too mess up but I think he was being nice because it wasn't. Full version is a lot longer.
Today at a garage sale I picked up some vinyl:
Elvis Costello - This Years Model
Fleetwood Mac - Rumors
George Harrison - The Best Of

Noticed that earlier lol, thanks for catching that.
Those are some awesome records there, Rumours is a personal favorite. Also, I rarely find anyone who listens to Elvis Costello, and I can never find his records. Good stuff.

Especially when some jerk was knocking at their door early and bought most of their records already and left those. My step dad listened to a lot of Elvis Costello so I am always surprised when people listen to him too!
