Sundara's and HD 6XX's. I got a pair of Grado SR 225x's recently that have been getting a lot of use, but I must eventually come to my senses.

HD-600 on BCHs
I'll miss the HE-500 however.
I'm changing my choices now to the HD650 + Clear MG. With EQ I'd might choose the HE-500 over the Clear MG, but the MG is a better all rounder.Sennheiser HD 58X
Focal Clear
Can't live without those Sennheiser vocals, and Focal dynamics and detail are just too good to pass up.

Well, the 500 is more similar to the 6 SE for one thing. The other is that the HD-600 which I respect, but do not crave on the 3 SS amps I've tried, but, on my BHCs OTL amp (which serves me no other purpose at this point) the HD-600 w/ a bit of EQ has good enough bass, a very warm and correct timbre mid and a quite winning softer harmonic laden treble.Surprising, I'd go HE-500 over HD600 easily.
I think it is one of the only headphones that has that magic in the mids like the 600 while being an improvement in many (almost all?) other areas.
Then again, you did say on BCH which I have never heard but do also understand that the 600 can scale well.
Bottlehead Crack w/ speedball (sorry for the inverted letters, I type about 65 wpm w/ errors) a DIY kit OTL tube amp. A technology I am quite sure was used to design the 600 and 800 Series earlier on. The quite cheap and decently built XDUOO T-26 ($319) does a similarly good job. It also changes the soundstage from a meager and annoying 3 blob affair to a 5 blob affair while not quit right, is well more convincing on SS (all 3 amps well heralded and $1695 list or more).May I ask what a BCH is?
Nope.Focal Stellia & Apple Airpods pros.
