LCD-5 for pure detail and master of all trades. Then Stellia for that Focal "soul" in the music. I'd probably use Stellia more, it's so musical. But LCD-5 when I want full technicalities.
If you need to cut your headphones collection and just end up with two only that compliment each other since one headphone is hard to tick all the signature taste and excel along the frequencies . Am wondering what everyone will keep? For me as i hate boring bright headphones . Ill stick with the hd650 for the comfort and relaxation and lcd x for the neutrality/warmth and energetic sound
my choice would be:
1) Susvara (when i am around with my gears at home. music sounds so great through it) and
2) ML No. 5909 (wireless for daily use and allowing me to move around my home. it actually sounds good enough for all my music enjoyment needs)
I'd probably go HE6SE V2 in place of Ultrasone but I need a portable, easy to drive closed back too - HE6SE V2 requires power and 2 opens wouldn't be best.
I love those two Hifiman though - nearly perfect headphones to my ears and all but ended this search for me.
Hifiman HE-R9 that I just bought, While I enjoyed my Sundara for the almost 3 years that I own it, I prefer the R9 more. Then the QKZ x HBB which i use for my Fiio M7 if I had just these two i would be perfectly happy.
