I agree, YouTube's audio compression isn't all that bad and its not like you're doing critical listening with YouTube videos either. But there are a few un released performances and songs that aren't available in a lossless format and that really sucks.

I'll join in, although not I but YKYAAW when you say things like:

Just a request to Fang, please keep it affordable and accessible. $2K with a matching amp would be great.

Did I do this right?

Does Youtube video quality setting really affect the SQ? Never had the chance to really turn it up anything above 320p because starting from 420, it will take a few secs on load 1 sec of video here in Brunei T.T

YKYAAW people ask you why spend $300+ on a single pair of headphone and you said $300 is not a lot actually on audio... I'm saving for a $1 000 pair of headphone + a cheaper amp which will hopefully cost me less than $700~? [happen before, but not on me]

Recently in class the subject of audio came up. I asked one of my classmates what headphones he used, he said Skullcandy Hesh. Everyone else in the conversation ridiculed him, including me, but when I said my headphones cost £120, he acted as if I was the idiot for buying "rip off headphones". I tried to convince him that those headphones weren't that good, and that £120 isn't even that much for headphones, but he just laughed at me.

Seriously though, it doesn't matter what people thinks! I know some who's jelly/adore my audio gears but always laugh at me for spending so much on audio! One of them tested my Grado then asked me to put it away for his in love with it xD recently, a man who is currently a business plan writer, and claims himself a "x-entertainer". He told me that he actually know quite a few about audio. Since he was complaining about my business plan for he don't understand what Custom In - Ear Monitor means and said he doesn't know what does "Sennheiser" mean, I put him on a test! "Sir, can you please name me 5 audio brand that you know of since you seem to know better than me" his respond: HAHAHAHA sorry... I only know Beats"

Sometimes we really should avoid underestimating others by looking at their age and size! Never wear a hat that is bigger than your head xD

Yeah but my classmate thought I was an idiot because I spent "too much" on cans and that Skull candy are actually good. I have another friend who is actually getting into this audio game, after he listened to my DT990 Pros.

SK have a few nice headphones. The Aviators and Mixmaster's aren't bad at all. Actually very good imo if they happen to be on sale. Not that I can talk about spending too much on cans, not in the slightest.

I've heard the Hesh and they don't sound too good. Bad design and comfort as well. You can do better, even for the price.

IMO, the best open headphone under $100 would be Grado SR60/80 or UE4000 for closed. Those are the headphones that I would still recommend even at $150-$200! SK is more for casual listening. Given you are used to such great quality from your Beyer, you will definitely not appriciate SK xD they are day and night difference!

I used to think $300 for a pair of headphone is rediculous but now I find $300/pair is pretty resonable but of course, they should sound good for the price xD Head-Fi changed my mine
