You get all excited because your new cardiologist also owns a pair of Etymotic ER-4 phones. Then when she is trying to discuss your medical condition you want to talk about her headphones.

When you see someone walking buy wearing Tri Ports and you think, "Poser".

When your DAP breaks on the bus ride to school and you are upset because now you can't listen to the etys with the foamies you modded the night before.

The second one happened to me yesterday, the first one happened twice today.

When you turn down sex with your ready and willing birthday suit-wearing girlfriend to listen to that new Justin Timberlake album.

Of course this might just mean your effin' nuts.

A $70 set of headphones is "cheap" and almost an impulse buy.

You don't like seasonal allergies not due to the discomfort and inconvenience they cause, but because they make your headphones sound weird.

The average person's home stereo system costs less than your headphone setup.

You can endure funny looks from people while wearing large headphones in public just to have good sound on the go.

You laugh when someone describes their Bose headphones as "high-fidelity".

You have heard more headphones over $100 than you have fingers.

A $500 headphone amp is a budget model.

Your head explodes if you are forced to listen to a set of Coby headphones.

I'm sure I can think of many more...

When you call in to work "sick" and spend the day listening to headphones, realizing--only later in the day, that what you needed was a personal day to relax. (a real experience).

Guilty!!! They're not bad, you know... I'm going to send them around to the meets along with the Jecklin Floats to provide some great photo ops. But for $25, I've never heard their equal in terms of sonics. I swear.
