You can only keep one!

I've heard people say this but I don't hear that, maybe its source dependent. The Elear's are really my cup of tea. Reminds me of why I love my Shure SE846 warm. lush, engaging sound with sparkle and clarity. Definitely looking forward to the Aeon's for use in the office!
it's a matter of taste, some people like this kind of tuning, i liked warm sound before, my favorite headphone back then was AudioQuest Nighhawk, but my taste is shifted, now i enjoy more linear presentation with fast transient response and ability to use bass EQ without any problems when i want more thump with my favorite DNB music

None of them. They all have a glaring flaw of some kind which makes it impossible to serve as an all arounder. The Utopia and the Abyss are the only headphones that lack some kind of glaring tuning flaw but they are for rich people only so the rest of us are stuck in midfi purgatory.

Which headphone are you currently using that sounds like the description you just made?

Thank you for the input.

Guess I'll be the odd man out and go with the LCDs. This is assuming I can at least have my iFi Black Label to power them.

The HD800S beautiful headphone in terms of sound and aesthetics. I've never tried any of Hifiman's offerings. Lastly, did you mod your Shure SRH1540's?

Nope. I love them with stock form and no equalization. Their bass was above neutral but not by much. Their sub bass was fantastic and I've yet to hear a closed back with a bigger soundstage.

If you don't mind me asking what sources or DAC/Amp do you pair them with?

I don't mind at all. They're pretty efficient so they don't really need an amp. I normally use them with a Dragonfly Red and my iPhone. But honestly, sometimes I just use them straight out of my iPhone because slightly underpowering them keeps the bass reigned in. The only negative is it also decreases the soundstage a little. They're great cans and one of the most comfortable I've ever worn as well. Only second in comfort to the 800/800S.
