So, The upgrade bug has striked me hard this time...

I was snoofing around the AT W5000 for a while now, couldn't made a decision if I am willing to go for it or not.

Today I broke up

I pulled the triger on the W5000, I thought what the heck, while I am at the US, it will be easier to pass Israeli customs, what a good excuse

I wanted to go for sure as I could so I ordered them from AudioCubes, because I have seen some people that said they got a fast shipment and easy passing the US Customs...

Damn, that can cost me 4 times more compared to the most expensive can that I have

I really hope I will like it, I only heared the A900 which I liked

but I haven't heared a lot from it...


Bottom line, [size=x-large]I hate you Head-Fi[/size]

You made my wallet suffer really really bad !

Yep

The source if fine I guess, nothing fency, but I am pleased with it.
My budget allowed only one Upgrade, so I was leaning between a DAC or one of the high end cans that I posted on the For sale forum: (W5000, PS1, HP2).

I wonder how the MPX3 will make it sound better

I am very tempted to go down this w5000 route instead of following the switch-hitting path of most head-fi'rs.......annual bonus just around the corner.....H5 should be arriving this week.....high end open-cans aren't as wife-friendly...so I'm thinking top-tier closed cans is THE answer here.

That can be arranged, though I would probably wait untill I will come back home (2+ weeks fron now) and listen with a better source and a decent amp.
I guess while I am away from home, I will try to listen to the W5000 as much as I can, and write a clean and detailed review.
