hey guys im a newbie with headphone equipment and around 4 months ago, i just realized that my Yamaha RX-V630 has a headphone out, where i could plug my headphones. i tried plugging my ipod, then using my headphones on it and noticed a strong hissing sound and that the tracks would play really soft. now i have no idea if this is because of a voltage difference (?) or if there is an internal wiring problem. now i am thinking of getting it repaired.
now like i said, i am a newbie at these stuff so i was just wondering, could i actually use this as a headphone amp? is this recommendable? and if yes, should i take it for maintenance?
