Hello,
How are you?
I have a question for you guys.
I currently have a Fiio E17 connected to my iMac.
I am thinking about upgrading my desktop setup to better feed my Mad Dogs once they arrive.
I would also like to get some monitor speakers down the line.
I listen to 90% Alac lossless files and 10% MP3's.
I use iTunes to feed Audirvana.
Since I already have an E17, I was thinking about picking an E09K to add to the setup.
The E09K would give me better amplification for the Mad Dogs and have a dedicated Line Out to feed some active monitors down the line.
The cost would be around 110 Euros, since I already own the E17.
The other option I am considering is an Asus Essence One, not the Muses Edition, just the standard one.
It also has RCA Outputs for active speakers, a highly rated DAC and a good headphone amp.
The cost is around 350.
My question:
Is the Asus One option worth 3 times the cost?
Would the sound quality be worth it?
Anyone has experience with both setups?
Cheers and thanks!
