I recently bought a pair of AD700 and a Xonar DG sound card for FPS gaming. I would like to know what are the best settings to use with the DG in order to hear and identify footsteps. I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask, but I think it's the closest. Any help would be useful. :)

i know there is a gaming section that maybe a mod can move this to.

i am using a xonar dgx with unified drivers. analog out: headphone. dolby headphone checked and dh2. audio channel 6. sample rate pcm 48khz

experiment with 6-8 channel and 7.1 virtual speaker shifter and also GX mode.

Thanks for the reply. Whenever I switch to an audio channel greater than 2 channels, I don't hear any sounds.

Edit: Fixed, restarted computer. What's GX mode, and which do I use Virtual 7.1 or DolbyHeadphones?

Currently, for gaming, I turn it on to 8 channels, 48 sample rate, and headphone settings. I check Dolby Headphone, and leave 7.1 speaker shift off. I change it to 2 channels for music. Can anyone confirm if this is a good setup?
