Taxes need to be added, so AE is cheaper. The 05 Pro is shipped from China even if you buy from Amazon marketplace.

I have ordered my XD05PRO via amazon.de and they shipped it from China, received in 5-6 days. Had to pay taxes (21% percent) for DHL, but amazon.de seller REFUNDED all the taxes that I additionaly paid to my bank card in one week. So no problem.

I'm using ROHM DAC & MUSES02 combo now, sounds really good for female vocals very upfront and meaty mids. Planning to try out this special new op-amps tonight (which is also specially tuned for vocals) ...

Do you know what differences between 8801 & 8802 ?

From what I know 8802 is tuned more for female vocals, tube like sounding.
8801 is more natural sounding, better resolution, instrumental separation better. More suitable for classical music.

Which country did you order from?
I live in Austria and ordered the dx05pro on amazon.de.
it should arrive next week.
Customs fee attached to the total amount, I hope I don't have to pay it afterwards.

From EU - Lithuania. I have paid taxes, but as I said, the seller from amazon.de kindly refunded all these additionan taxes, because amazon.de marketplace rules obligates to do that when order is shipping from outside EU.

Yes box of XD05PRO came a little bit damaged outside and preopened, with factory film torned off, but device itself and all the accesories are working properly for half a year now

Will do when I have the time for swapping out my opamps. But right now, happy with ROHM DAC with MUSES02 very good sounding so far.

That’s where I got mine and after paying the taxes myself, the seller reimbursed it. This is written also in the Amazon terms and conditions.

TLDR; The price displayed on Amazon is final, inclusive of all taxes.

Don’t worry. I also ordered from Amazon. Mine arrived in-tact, not opened or damaged.
You have to pay the taxes but your seller will reimburse this afterwards.
