XDUoo XD05PRO

I finally bought an XD05Pro for myself after 6 months of searching.
Before that there were several sets on listening at home, better and worse. Curiosity and the possibility of changing the sound of the XD05 decided to buy it.
In my opinion, it is technically superior to the K11, K7, K9Pro ESS, Topping XD5, SMSL M500 Mk3.
I still listened to the R9, but it was out of the house, it didn't impress me, so I don't regret even taking it home.
XD05Pro, has been playing for about 25 hours, even managed to warm up to 33 degrees in turbo mode, I took a 30 minute break and turned it on again.
It is working at my place in stationary mode at the Pc, powered by Tomanek ULPS Mini, on KZ AS16 headphones.
On the shelf waiting AKM, in the plan Sparkos dual discrete operational amplifier SS3602

My brain is probably burning out because my leg is starting to go at some points.
I wonder how much I'll like it when it loses 100 hours, though I don't know if that's required and what will change when I change to AKM and Sparkos.
It's nice to be able to modify it.

Another thing is I keep thinking about better IEMs, I would like to spend as little cash as possible.
What in your opinion is worth buying from IEM?

Greetings .
If you are planning to upgrade to the Sparkos SS3602, know that I discovered that on Aliexpress they also sell a clone, called OP8802 and which costs half the price:

I think sooner or later I'll decide to take it; the only review talks about it in enthusiastic terms, and comparing the photos it actually seems to be identical, both in terms of construction and components used.

@quaddac

I read that you also heard white noise with all iems. Could you share with me your experiences on how you were able to reduce the noise to a minimum? In which mode is the deadliest white noise lower in the case of iem? batt or ext? What power supply did you use? does opamp replacement play a role in this? @quaddac
I have no idea for this. Apparently a modified opamp module solves the problem. Someone wrote about it a little higher. For me it looks like this:

Disconnected coax cable, usb = no noise in caox mode, usb.
Connected coax, usb = noise in caox, usb mode.
Line out (se, bal), = the noise is always there, it doesn't matter whether the cable is connected
BT = noise is always in this mode.
It doesn't matter whether it's a battery or a power supply. It doesn't matter what I use for transport (PC, DAP, Smartphone).

There is no problem with large headphones.

It is interesting what you write, I did not know about it.
Half the cost is a tempting option for me.
Just curious if it plays as well as Sparkos.
The cash I could then put towards better IEMs.

Hi,
I received burson audio v5i dual 2pcs for free by Burson Audio. Thank you!

The stock opa1612 sounds flatter and less dynamic compared to the v5i. The high, low frequency is a clearer and more real sound. The bass hits deep and stronger. The midrange is less warm, more on the neutral side, but with more detail and air and more 3d effects!
Important, it sounds deeper with the burson v5i kit.
I don't change op amps anymore.

Is this the exact one?

If you search for OP8802 on Aliexpress you will find at least 30 different stores that sell it; I linked that one as an example because it had a review that seemed interesting, but as another example this other store (which has already sold 6 of those) instead has 96.3% and 6800 followers.

However, it was just an idea which I thought I'd share in case anyone is interested in trying an alternative; for now I'm waiting to receive a pair of SS2590s, for which I have already given Sparkos quite a lot of money (almost half the value of the 05 Pro itself)

As for the Burson Audio Supreme Sound V5i Dual Opamp, do you need to modify something there to trim, compared to the original OP, complicated to insert?

Curious about the differences from the Sparkos SS3602, anyone compared them?

You don't need to trim Burson V5iD at all, just make sure correct orientation and insert.

I was browsing through this topic before I bought it, I saw descriptions and comparisons of the Opa Sparkos SS3602, and the Burson Audio Supreme Sound V5i Dual, now I would like to go back to that, but I can't find those statements.
I'll have to see for myself what changes they make, hopefully it will be worth owning these two OPa in combination with the XD05Pro.

I pass the next hours with XD05 and KZ-AS16, I have the impression that everything has calmed down, SQ only benefits from it. Everything becomes more immersive, engaging.
I'll admit that I'm a little lacking in a larger side-to-side and forward stage.
Sometimes I would like to feel more bass.
I wish I had more money and could afford to buy all the IEMs I've read something good about, namely : DTE 900, OH700VB, Mega 5 EST and a few more.
Further I don't know in which direction I will go.
I need to make myself maybe some table in exel and write out all the pros and cons.

On my legs...

The one at the base was a tablet stand which, when folded, acts as a base wide and stable enough to stay stable on my legs and, at the same time, allows adequate ventilation.

But... the most important thing is that all this is giving me hours of very pleasant and relaxed listening...
