Hello to everyone. IFI UK company, price for Gryphon in UK 600 pounds(780usd), price in US 600usd… How came that UK citizen needs to pay much more for local products… The same in EU, prices in US for EU products are cheaper than in EU, and when i want to buy US products, prices here in EU much more expensive… This is a rip-off

Hello to everyone. IFI UK company
Look at what is written on the little label that reads "Assembled In". It don't say "United Kingdom" does it?

More details here:

Mind you, with 20% import Tariffs on Chinese goods, prices in the USA should rise by a similar amount in the US, so soon you will not pay more than the US, maybe you end up even paying less.

As a new Gryphon owner I am VERY impressed with it's features and sound quality. One area of deficiency is the GAIA app. I note the new Valkyrie has Nexis companion app. Installed it on my android device and it does recognize Gryphon but the "settings" button is non-functional. Can anyone, ideally iFi support, address whether this will be enabled soon for non-Valkyrie iFi products such as Gryphon?
Thank you.
Thank you.

I am not sure if this is possible, but I will ask for you and post back any info I can.

Thanks for your comments. I will pass them on to those above me as I can understand your point, however, it is important to keep in mind as well that prices for goods and services are up worldwide at the moment
I am sure that all companies would like to keep their prices low and competitive; however, sometimes the world just intervenes, and hard choices must be made by all.
Rest assured, I will extend your comments to those who need to know.
Cheers!!

Can this device operate in pure analog amplifier mode, without USB DAC mode?

Yes, you can just use the analog input

My xDSD Gryphon hasn't died, but rather it has entered a strange limbo, however this limbo is a useful as if it were dead because it won't do anything.
If I turn it on then in the display I can see the input mode, battery level and volume number. If I change the input mode to bluetooth then there is a stable bluetooth symbol. I actually asked my iPhone to "forget" the Gryphon yesterday, that's when the problems began, I found that I can no longer get the Gryphon into pairing mode in bluetooth. However something else that has also stopped is being able to connect to my iPhone, or anything else, by USB.
So now it just won't do anything.
Okay so I tried the factory reset in the menu. It makes no difference.
I've read of a thing called "soft reset" where you let the battery go to zero. Apparently this will reset it, however I can't get the battery to go to zero because I can't use the Gryphon in any way.
Firmware version is 1.63.
Thank you for any suggestions on how to revive my Gryphon!
P.S. The strange limbo started while I was setting up my new iFi Audio iDSD Valkyrie. That's actually when I asked my iPhone to forget the Gryphon in bluetooth settings because I was setting up the Valkyrie for bluetooth and I didn't want to get confused. I imagined it would be no problem simply to pair the Gryphon again. I can't see anything that I was doing with the Valkyrie that will have influenced the Gryphon, but it is strange that the Gryphon has entered its limbo at the same time that I am setting up the Valkyrie.

I've just sold mine to purchase a A&K SR35
That would be a disappointing downgrade for me. SR35 doesn't sound nearly as good as Gryphon unless you prefer some digital edge in your sound, especially the treble.I've just sold mine to purchase a A&K SR35
