Just got my e-12 last night and hooked up everything this morning.  Is it me because I really do not notice anything different from pre-E12.  I turn on the bass on the E-12 and that I can notice right away.  Am I using the correct cord to attach, believe its the 1/8 at each end from line out on x90 to line in on the E-12.  I hope I did not waste money on something I wont see any extras for.

An amplifier is just supposed to make the sound louder. If it's louder, then it's doing the job perfectly fine. It's actually a really desirable trait to have the amp not have any impact on the sound. By the sounds of things, your IEMs probably don't need an amp.
