Hi guys, my X-FI ( modded but only the opamp for front channels ) works fine until today. The digital out is suffering from a very noticeable cracking/popping noise when running. I am using bit perfect settings, on audio creation mode on the audio console, using latest and beta drivers, same thing.

I tried the coaxial from the Zhaolu D2.5C out from a DVD player and it sounds perfect, tried optical from my onboard tot he Zhaolu and that's perfect.

The X-FI coming out from the front left/right sounds perfect also, only the digital out is having this problem, with or without music playing as there as there is a signal the problem is there. I can unplug the signal cable and it will go away?

Defective X-FI?

Also, since I can't a/b the optical out on my onboard HD audio to my X-FI coaxial out since having this problem. Is there a big difference? Should I invest in another sound card?

Nvm figured it out just right now.

Enable Digital I/O was not checked in the volume controller, even though the digital out was working but with problems, sigh.
