underneath the laughter is probably my favourite leaetherstrip release. very powerful stuff, with good lyrics, and fairly ahead of its time when it was released IMO.

lots of albums since then that have attempted to emulate that...some better than others

The new Haujobb album, Vertical Theory is destined to be one of my favourite releases of the year. It's not purely industrial nor EBM, but rather incorporates elements of electronica, updating the sound a bit. Highly recommended.

I am by no means a fan of Apop. I find their music to be a bit too repetitive for my tastes.

I agree with later albums but 1st APOP is a different beast.

Got three more :wumpscut albums a couple days ago.

Dried Blood of Gommorha, Embryodead and Eevil young flesh.
All are awesome albums. In a week or so I will rank the wumpscut albums in order of preference.

Still looking around for the other stuff mentioned in this thread. Some of it I have now but it will take time to listen to it.

You must "really" like WUMPSCUT, you now have almost all CDs that are easily available. There is a new 2CD collection out now called "Preferential Legacy" which contains various odds/ends, remixes, and a couple new songs......yes would like to see your initial ranking of albums.

I really think you should try some Leather Strip, of all the groups mentioned here they are the closest in style to Wumpscut.
