Guys, if a woman finds out you are single, asks you if you want to meet some women, then asks you what you have to offer a woman, how do you respond? I have been pondering what the best response should be, given that we are in the 21st century, and there are many women out there earning plenty of money. My rapid response was, what does a woman have to offer me? I keep thinking that the ideal relationship is probably one where the woman has an income similar to that of the man, and isn't expecting a man to support her.

Why must the answer be so financially focused?
And if they are specifically fishing for some kind of monetary/material answer, maybe that isn't the kind of women you should be interested in...

How would you respond? I don't know how old you are, and how different expectations are in Canada vs the US, however many women in the US, especially those near a major city tend to be very materialistic. Wanting to make money is good, however wanting to find someone who will support her in style with his sweat isn't so good.

Woman: Do you want to meet women.....What do you have to offer?
Me: I'm not interested in an escort service. I'm a financially secure, educated, professional. If these aren't escorts, What specifically makes these women so special that would drive you to ask me such a question ?
Woman: Well, my friends are beautiful, etc etc etc.......
Me: Beauty is pretty common. But if there is something else that sets them apart from other beautiful women....I'm going to be at ( bar name / coffee house) around (time) if you and your friends want to stop by.

"I can only offer who I am as a person. I am well educated and well spoken. I enjoy the symphony and theatre, or just sitting around with leftover pizza and a Netflix marathon. I can be a fellow adventurer, a sous-chef, a dance partner, a father. I cherish my family and friends, and would love to share in that with somebody. I can offer all these things, but if you need to ask for the size of my wallet before the size of my heart, then I am a pauper."

If she also had an inexpensive car, and other inexpensive things, I would have given her a second chance. I love frugal woman. As for spending habits, it would impress me very much if a woman spent less than 50% of her after tax income, gives 20% to charity, and invests the rest. Unfortunately there are too many women who spend beyond their means, and who want to find a guy who will give them plenty to spend.
Appreciating better sound quality is something that needs to be learned. I can remember the time when I used to use the included earphones that came with the Walkmen I bought. That was in the 80s.

My criteria for a good date:
1) actually shows up
1b) without another date in tow
2) doesn't leave with someone else partway through the night
3) biologically female
I'll add to the list.
4) Doesn't weigh more than me
5)Isn't taller than me.
6)Doesn't show up in a mink coat or some other ridiculously expensive clothes
or drive a ridiculously expensive car-No Lamborghinis,Bentleys, or Rolls Royces.
7) Doesn't ask me how much money I have
8)Doesn't complain about where I want to take her for dinner. No, I don't
take dates to fast food restaurants. I also don't take them to places that
charge over $50 a person for dinner.

I once had a pof date where the conversation started off well enough, but then I got a hint that she may have been a tumblr feminist (the kind that give real feminists a bad name) and I thought to myself hey the conversation wasn't going *that* well and we basically tore into the arguments. All the crapola about super political correctness and gender fludity etc. The thing is, I really ripped apart her arguments with hard facts and not just sentimentality. Needless to say we didn't have a second coffee date, but I didn't mind. I have a special hatred for tumblr-fueled idiocy.

I was reading back through some of my horror stories and found my old quote here.
Oh eff it, so *that's* how I wound up with the SR-007...
Damn!Someone needs to give the man a Sennheiser Orpheus
Well, I did get an HE-6 shortly after. If I ever wind up with Stax, assume the worst

What's wrong with a girl with money? If she's willing to date a broke dude like me, I'm not gonna complain

Usually it is the girl's father who has the money and not her. If she has been spoiled her whole life, she will expect you to pay for the first class lifestyle she is used to. No matter how much money some women have, they still expect you to pay for everything. A pediatrician I dated said that her money is for her security, and that the man should pay for everything. Quite often they expect you to pay for everything in a first class manner, especially if they are used to it. I resent having to treat a woman better than I treat myself. I have no patience for women who expect me to support them. Their typical phrase would be "I want to be treated like a lady". My response is "I want to be treated like an equal".
