in general, more tubes and bigger tubes means longer warm-up time to sound their best.

I had a Cary Audio v12 and I left it ON most of the time when I'm home. I turn OFF before bed or when I leave the house.

WA33 tubes cost a lot, leaving it ON will be expensive.

is it advisable to use the preamp outputs on the WA33 EE JPS with another headphone amp such as the Mass Kobo 465? is anyone of you using your WA33 in a similar setup?

It's certainly a valid option that gives you different flavor.

I had to watch it a second time to determine whether his face and movements were augmented or not in post production. Freaking incredible.

I got some new cables from Norne audio for the Utopia. I got it done in two male 3 pin XLR inputs. Maybe it's a placebo effect but there's definitely an increase in soundstage width. I need to spend more time evaluating.

In other news, my WA33 is doing a world tour. It was made in the USA, and shipped out to its first owner in Slovenia. Then it found its way into Melbourne, Australia. Just yesterday it flew across the tasman pond to its temporary home in Auckland, New Zealand. In six months, I will be shipping it to Dubai (my new home).

I have a question about power tube mixing. Currently, I’m using a quad of Psvane Acme 2A3 and KR Audio 2A3 HP tubes with my Woo Audio WA33. The Psvanes offer excellent treble extension but can sound a bit thin, while the KRs provide a rich body and deep bass. KR gets 80% of listening time.

I’m considering a crazy idea: mixing tubes—using one Psvane and one KR per channel—in hopes of blending the strengths of both. Has anyone tried mixing power tubes like this? Is it a good idea, or am I risking damage to my WA33 or the tubes themselves? I’d love to hear your thoughts or if anyone already did try this method!
