Congratulations to those getting the Tak 2A3 quad.
Can't wait to hear the impression, as well as how long they last.
My Tak quad are now 13 months old. They are somewhere in the 1200-1400 hour range in usage. No issues of any kind. They are now entering the range at which both my Tak 274B died. Hoping the 2A3 are more durable than the 274B.

I've had a WA33 JPS EE for almost two years now, and have been excited to try out the various tube combinations with a Phi TC.

I can't believe I forgot about it for all that time, but just yesterday I remembered that there are KNOBS on the front of our WA33's to adjust the impedance and level! Something else to play with :relaxed:. The Level (the knob on the right) has been set to High all this time (and Low doesn't work well with the AB1266's). I turned the Impedance knob (the knob on the left) from Low to High, and found a new level of enjoyment with these headphones.

Gentlemen, don't forget to play with your knobs!

Yes they are. I’ll post my impressions after a few hours and then after a longer period.

I’ve been running the Western Electric 417 with the Woo Adapter, the Takatsuki 274 rectifier and the KR 2A3’s. It’s been a great combination. I probably have several hundred hours on this set and love it. It never disappoints.

We all know that tubes take time so the jury is still out but upon initial listening the Takatsuki are not as dynamic nor as holographic as the KR’s. Obviously things can change and I’m curious how my opinion will change over time but as of this moment it’s not impressive.

I’ve done about 4 heat cycles through them and they’re already sounding better. The things that I noticed were missing seem fine to me now. I’ll continue to use them for the next few days before going back to the KR just for a quick a/b.
