I don't know a heap about woodworking - I am, however, in the process of restoring a bunch of outdoor furniture for my folks.
This got me thinking - I have a heap of wood headphones, I should probably be taking better care of them!

So, I got the wood care kit that came with my LCD 2.2:

And got to work!
Took the cans apart, gave them a good wipe down, with a mildly damp rag, then dried them off:

Then applied small dabs of wax, rubbing gently into the grain with the included soft cloth.
I then carefully wiped off all excess residue after the unit was covered evenly, and left them to dry.
These two shots were taken with the camera flash ON, after the waxing:

So, as you can see, some types of wood react more visibly to the wax than others. Still, for the sake of longevity, I would probably recommend it.
Has anyone else got any tips, for looking after your wooden gear?

I do a lot of woodworking with fine hardwoods, and would gladly make some recommendations to you.

I use about a dozen different waxes, a dozen different oils, and other finishes...

But it seems you've already finished a whole bunch of gear!

First thing - which you did, evidently - at least in one instance - ask the manufacturer for their recommendation.
(Then you can decide if you agree.)
