Help me to pick between the WooAudio 6 and woo3+ or the Darkvoice 336SE.

The DV 336SE is cheaper and I wonder if the WooAudio 6 and 3+ are much better.....?

The woo 6 Rectifier tube seem expensive to replace and any cheaper option?

I'll be using it on the AKG 702.

Thanks

Only the 274B is expensive. Other compatible rectifiers are quite cheap.

The WA6 with PDPS mod offered by Jack for 60$ is one of the best value and well built amps for the price. Like WittyzTH already said, the tubes are not expensive at all, unless you go for the top 274B rectifier.

The 336SE is a good value amp because it is relatively inexpensive, but does not have the reliability, sonic refinement and build quality of the WA6. The DV3322 is a better amp by most accounts and may be a better investment. If you can afford it, the Woo amps are worth it for the peace of mind and customer service.

It all depends on how much you want to spend of course.

Thanks again everyone

I'm pretty much lock on the woo6 ..... will the Pseudo Dual power supply (PDPS) circuit upgrade $60 make a big different on the sound on the 702?

or do I need the WooAudio 2 to get the AKG 702 power to it best?

The woo looks amp really cool .....

Thanks

I haven't personally heard a WA6 with and without the pdps, but most who have say it makes the biggest difference out of all of the mods.

I agreed, I first think of getting a $80 head set for my ipod two weeks ago.

After joining this forum, I have a AKG 702 coming next week and I started looking at the LD MK IV SE than a DV to a woo A6 with upgrades and now I increase my amp budget to a Woo A6 SE with a Sophia Princess Mesh Plate 274B.

I wonder ....

Well, given some here have discussed that the difference between the WA6SE and Zana Deux is hard to hear, I would consider the WA6 to be top-tier

Definitely mid-tier price but definitely top-tier performance.
