Hi everyone

I currently have a Fostex HP-A3 Amp/Dac to drive my LCD-X and i feel like im in for an upgrade. I have done some research and have seen that those 2 are the most common combinations for the LCD-X. I'm currently leaning more towards the Woo Wa7 as for the design and the warmth it gives. I would be interested in some feedback what differences i could expect from the 2 different amps.

When you mean warmth, do you mean warmth as in from a heater or warmth as in the sound characteristic because if it's the latter you're looking for I wouldn't recommend the WA7. If it's the former, then well go for it. The WA7 isn't a particularly warm sounding tube amp, in fact I don't even think it sounds like a typical tube amp, it's pretty darn neutral in my opinion. I can't comment on the other one as I've never heard it.

yes you are right but i would take the upgrade with the woo WA7d and then take the Electro Harmonix 6C45 tubes upgrade.
