Speakers that are 90dB + sensitive will work well with this amp. The hunt begins

I wont have the amp next week - I will have it immediately after the San Jose meet. I guess they will be hearing it first

The prototype will indeed be at the San Jose meet on Aug 6

I promise I'll ship it back to Mr Woo ASAP after the meet (but not before having listened to it "privately" for a day or two

How much is this amp going to be? In the $2000+ range? Or ~$1000?

:)

hi,guys! Dr. Woo replied my email yesterday, the wa4 is a pure class A mono-block headphone and speaker amp, it has 2 power transformers, 2 output transformers and 2 chokes.
The drive tubes:the front 2 small tubes are 6922, the middle of the second line small tubes are 12au7.
The tall and big tubes are the 6c19, the power tubes, they are able to produce 3.5 watt (non-distortion pure class A).
I think this amp can drive all kinds of the dynamic headphones cos it has big power and output transformers, I cant help waiting for your lucky guys' reviews !
