Mr.Woo kindly gave me a sneak peek at this baby. It is a power amp and a headphone amp in one sleek unit. It sure looks the part...will it sound the part? That will be investigated shortly. I just received a nice pair of speakers on loan from a local B&W dealer. I already have a few decent headphones so I eagerly await the WA4...

Not bad looking, can't wait to read how it does.

Which speakers did you get?

I've been waiting to hear about this amp. I think Woo overdid it with the transformer covers

Some questions:
1. How much power?
2. What output tubes? (Can't see any marking on them)
3. How much $$$?

B&W 805S I havent picked it up yet because I am in the process of moving to a new apartment. Generous of the dealer to let me audition it in-house. I saw it and fell in love with it. He has more speakers in his store so I might just take the amp there for a day.

That could be a nice looking amp, IF the 6 tranny towers would be re-designed.

Otherwise, we all are looking forward to your first impressions of the WooAudio 4.

GS>The 805s good as they are. But I would try to convince him to get the 805 signature series.

That amp sure does look nice and I will be looking forward to your impressions.

Sweet, I look forward to hearing your impressions. Out of curiosity which dealer in town has those? We should totally have a mini austin meet there!

I was never a fan of the 805's beyond their looks, now the 805 silver signiture series is a whole different beast. Raising hairs on back of neck and thousands more out of wallet. it is magics

Looks a bit like my ASL AQ-1005DT amp., although without the big 300B tubes that are in mine. My monster weighs about 40 lbs. How much does this one weigh? I suppose that this Woo amp can be used to drive K1000s, as well as more usual dynamic headphones, such as HD650s, Grados, etc.
