WA2's rectifiers are now changed to EZ80. The EZ80 offers higher output current than the 6X4, and thus improves power supply.

So Jack changed the circuit design to accommodate the new tube? Or it's just a tube switch?

That's interesting... that should significantly improve the WA2 with low impedance phones.

Very little is known about that change... and... Jack never mentioned it when I discussed the WA2 with him recently. If I could have been certain the WA2 would have driven low impedance phones as well as high impedance phones, I would have given it more serious consideration. But... I received no assurances from Jack in that regard.
