Raffaele88 (Dev of Foxhound) is testing new rom based on JB sammy! # 3142

This will be way more polished than the leaked samsung firmware so people may want to wait for this!

Great news.  Foxhound is the least Touchwizy Touchwiz based ROM.  That makes it the best option for people like me who hate Touchwiz but are stuck with it because of USB DAC support.

Is there a HTC Sense UI based ROM for the S3 which supports USB DAC?

Why would you get the US version since you have already got the international one? I would rather spend it on the iPhone5 next month...  I now carry both the 4S and S3 around, finding that none of them can really replace each other...

S3 easily outdoes the 4S for my needs (and then some). I'll still get the 5, and also the Note 2 over the next couple of months. It's not a matter of one or the other, the YouTube money I make on vids covers the cost of these handsets.

I assume to standout from other GS3 owners.

Dead wrong! I'm generally tech obsessed, and run an Android blog, so been wanting to try out a US S3 variant for some time to see how the S4 Krait SoC is (and also because it lets me produce some guides for US-based S3s for my site etc). Then my fiance decides she can't live with the camera in her Galaxy S any longer and really wants an upgrade, so suddenly I have the opportunity to get a Krait-based S3 to try since she loves my white S3. If I'm going to do that I figure might as well get the red one, since even though it is polarising it is likely to retain better resale value for its uniqueness (and I really like the red, although it will not be everyones cup of tea).

That red looks great to me with your lock screen NZ.

Danny93, I trust Liquid Jelly Bean lacks USB DAC support like all the other AOKP/AOSP ROMs, right?  Every day it seems a new enticing CM10 based ROM pops up that I would love to use were it not for the lacking of USB audio support.

That said, I just flashed the Jelly Bean update of Foxhound.  It’s great so far.  Raffa has been doing excellent work with that ROM.  His theme work is already looking cohesive.  I plugged in my Pico and it worked on the first try.  And after un clicking “Disable Hardware overlays” & clicking “Force GPU rendering” it’s running about as smoothly as the CM10 ROMs I’ve tried.
