It does 22AWG, 24 with a little wiggling. I'm not suggesting it as a serious replacement, of course, but I carry one around on a daily basis and it's amazingly handy.

As an electrician, I can also recommend Klein. Been using them for years. Ideal also make a nice pair of wire strippers.

I can't believe I'm excited about the fact that I'll be able to strip wires with great ease once I get a new wire stripper.

jkroon, any thoughts on the Ideal Stripmaster?

I've never used it personally, but Ideal doesn't make ANY bad products. I say go for it.

My strippers are Klein. I have a lot of other gear thta is Ideal and can recommend them as a company as exemplary also.
