The only time its any good, is from a clean install... even then, its not completely perfect... I'm now getting BSODs from my graphics card driver

I was going to hold off installing it until I did a clean install, but my geekyness got the better of me. . .

its been great so far. I've had it installed for 2 weeks or so. No crashes, faster boot up. . . thumbs up!

You can always uninstall it.

I'm using win XP, haven't upgraded to SP1 though.

It crashed randomly at first, then stabilized as time went on. (Did a few tweaks of course, but still not sure what fixed it) That's the weirdest crash profile I've ever experienced but I'm not complaining

BTW do you think it's worth it to pay M$ for its bloatware? Our house has run exclusively on warez until I bought XP

I have been using XP since it was released and have installed SP1. My experience has been excellent with XP. Faster boot times. Virtually no crashes. What has amazed me is that my older programs all ran without incident. I have newer hardware so I really had no driver problems either.

Boot time seems a little quicker with SP1. This is subjective as I never thought to time it.

lol, I'm on a great streak with winXP now! I'm at 6 days, 10 hours uptime! Don't fail me now! I'd hate to reboot for something stupid. . . (driver update, etc).

Yup, using SP1 is akin to letting M$ take another step towards world domination in an Orwellian society.
