Quick question:
 
Will the older beyer pads (03 version) fit the new DT880 (both are premium version). And will the old bayer pads fit DT770 Pro as well?

Do you mean this version ? It seems to have the same ear pads as spare parts as the current models. If old pads are the same or similar to the current EDT990V pads, they will fit the DT770 Pro, but the sound will be changed (less bass).

ya that's old DT880 i was referring to. really not sure if the part number is EDT990V. But, according to the link, it seems like EDT990V doesn't fit DT770?

The pads are the same size, but putting DT770 pads on the DT880/990/T1 (or vice versa) will not sound good, because there will be too much (or not enough) bass.
